Marriott Honors Top Owners and Franchisees for 2010
Five Marriott Owner and Franchise Companies Receive Prestigious Partnership Circle Award
Marriott International honored top full-service owner and franchise partners at an annual meeting held recently at the JW Marriott Washington DC. Five companies – E.J. Del Monte Corporation, Noble Investment Group, PCH Hotels and Resorts, Inc., White Lodging Services Corporation and Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. – were awarded the Partnership Circle Award, the highest honor Marriott presents to its owner and franchise partners for hospitality excellence. Executives from organizations that own or franchise Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels and Autograph Collection properties attended the business meeting.

Marriott’s Partnership Circle Award honors companies who live Marriott’s vision, share a mutual long-term commitment, fully embrace Marriott’s brand initiatives, focus on employees to create a well-managed and engaged workforce, invest in hotel product, and provide outstanding customer service.
“We are proud to partner with our full-service owners and franchisees, who provide industry-leading hospitality to Marriott guests,” said Jim Fisher, senior vice president, Owner and Franchise Services, Marriott International. “The recipients of this year’s Partnership Circle Award deliver excellent service and innovative concepts and programs to drive profitability and enhance branded guest experiences.”
Marriott’s 2010 Partnership Circle Award Winners:
- E.J. Del Monte Corporation of Rochester, N.Y., owns a total of 17 Marriott branded hotels, including the award-winning Del Monte Lodge Renaissance Rochester Hotel & Spa and the completely renovated Rochester Airport Marriott, as well as 15 select-service hotels. A family-owned business for 57 years, E.J. Del Monte is one of Marriott’s original franchisees.
- Noble Investment Group, headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., owns and operates five Marriott Hotels & Resorts and two select-service hotels, and is continuing to grow with Marriott. Noble most recently opened the Raleigh Marriott City Center, which has become the epi-center of downtown Raleigh, as well as the Macon Marriott City Center.
- PCH Hotels & Resorts, Inc. of Birmingham, Ala., owns and operates four Marriott Hotels & Resorts and four Renaissance Hotels in Alabama. Several of these resorts are located along the famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Properties including the historic Battle House, A Renaissance Hotel, and the Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa, showcase the state’s beautiful cities and resort areas.
- White Lodging Services Corporation of Merrillville, Ind., opened the first franchised Fairfield Inn hotel in 1990 in the city of Merrillville. In 2011, the 1,005-room JW Marriott Indianapolis will open as a downtown convention hotel. One of Marriott’s most prolific developers, White Lodging operates more than 100 hotels across Marriott’s portfolio of brands. White Lodging has received Marriott’s Partnership Circle Award eight times.
- Winegardner & Hammons, Inc., based in Cincinnati, Ohio, opened the Cincinnati Marriott Northeast in 1996. Since then, the company’s portfolio has grown to include 14 Marriott hotels which perform at the highest level of customer satisfaction. Winegardner & Hammons recently opened their first Renaissance hotel, Renaissance Indianapolis North, which is already achieving top customer satisfaction scores. Winegardner & Hammons is a 12-time recipient of Marriott’s Partnership Circle Award.
In addition to presenting the Partnership Circle Awards, Marriott honored owners and franchisees for their achievements in the following categories: Deal of the Year, Best New Product, Opening of the Year, Conversion of the Year, Best Renovation, Food & Beverage Excellence, and Service Excellence. I am a guest associate at the ExecuStay by Marriott in Rockville. My husband and I have recently been to the Laguna Cliffs Marriott and just love it there. Dayna Pointe is beautiful. We have been there before the renovation and again after and it is a beautiful hotel. I love the waterfall in the lobby and the views atre spectaular.
