We Hear You Canada – Marriott To Pay Group Commissions in Canadian Dollars

HalifaxWaterview To all group planners in Canada: Marriott International is now making life just a little easier for you.  Marriott, working with Travelex Global Business Payments, will now pay centralized group commissions in Canadian dollars to all accredited Group Partners in Canada booking Marriott’s lodging brands worldwide.

We are always looking for ways to better serve our customers, and we are thrilled to be able to offer our Canadian group partners this service,” said Julius Robinson, vice president of global sales group intermediaries for Marriott International.  “Our group intermediary partners are an integral part of Marriott’s business and Canada is one of the Marriott’s most important markets.”

Beginning November 5, all Canadian group partners will automatically receive their payments in Canadian dollars unless they request to receive them in U.S. dollars.  Payments can be delivered by check or direct deposit into the group partner’s bank account.  There is no currency conversion needed if the hotel booked is in Canada and no fees for currency conversion if the hotel is located in another country.
