TakeCare Run & Walk Benefits 'Back on My Feet'
Sunday, September 16 -- Bethesda, Md. - At Marriott International Headquarters, president and CEO Arne Sorenson (left, in gray shirt) joined more than 300 associates for a 5K/1K Run & Walk to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the company’s “TakeCare” Wellness program. As part of TakeCare, Marriott provides tools and resources to associates, partnering with medical plans and wellness experts, to help associates live a healthy lifestyle.
Marriott and participants of the race raised $6,450 to help support Back on My Feet, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to creating independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless and other underserved populations by first engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.
Also in attendance were Marriott executives David Rodriguez, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, and Dave Grissen, president for The Americas.

We had a great time that we actually walked more than the required 1K with our group. We will definitely do it again next year. Thank you for organizing this event for a great cause.
