Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean & Mexico Resorts 'Return The Kindness' to Those with the “Spirit To Serve”

Return to KindnessNew Facebook Contest to Award Selfless Volunteers With Vacation and Charitable Support.

Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean & Mexico Resorts is looking to find and reward ten people who embody the “Spirit to Serve,” a philosophy of Marriott International’s corporate platform which includes social responsibility and community involvement, among other philosophies. For the launch of its first-ever “Return the KindnessSM” contest on Facebook, the hotel collection is giving away one free tropical vacation and ten charitable donation gift cards to finalists.

Beginning on November 1, 2012 and lasting until November 16th, fans of the Marriott Resorts Caribbean and Mexico Facebook page will have the opportunity to nominate an individual (either themselves or someone else) into the contest, by providing a short description of them selflessly giving back to their community and helping others. On November 19, ten finalists will be announced and fans will have the opportunity to vote each day, through November 30th, for the most compelling entry. The finalist with the highest number of votes by the end of the voting period will be declared the grand-prize winner and will receive a tropical getaway to one of nine properties in the Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean & Mexico Resorts collection, including round-trip airfare for two, five nights’ accommodations, daily breakfast and a $250 resort credit.  All ten of the finalists will receive a $250 gift card donation to the charity of their choice.

“The Return the Kindness Contest honors those who have shown the Spirit to Serve by providing a well-deserved vacation to one of our nine resorts, as well as contributing to a variety of charitable organizations on behalf of the finalists,” said Michelle Bozoki, Director of Marketing & eCommerce, Caribbean & Latin America Resorts. “We look forward to reviewing the entries and returning the kindness to someone who has selflessly made a positive difference in their community.”
The winner of the grand prize will be able to choose from the following nine hotels within the Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean & Mexico Resorts collection:

This contest is open only to U.S. residents aged 18 and older.
