Marriott International Associates Display the Spirit To Serve

Part of Associate Appreciation Week, Spirit To Serve is an opportunity for Marriott’s worldwide community to come together as a team for a global day of service. A highlight of the day was the KaBoom! playground build project build in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

“We are thrilled to partner with KaBoom! once again for SpiritTo Serve Our Communities Day,” said Joanne Thomas, Marriott International, manager, social responsibility and business councils. “Over 100 volunteers will participate at the Gaithersburg build site to ensure underserved children receive a fun, safe playground.”

-       Sorted and organized 750,000 diapers at the DC Diaper Bank

-       Assembled 30,000 macaroni & cheese meals to be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank

-       Made 2,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Martha’s Table & McKenna’s Wagon
