Sheraton Hotels & Resorts And Coca-Cola Connect Families With Special “Message In A Bottle” Delivery

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, Inc., knows that between the long hectic days, meetings and stresses of traveling for work, loved ones are out of sight but not out of mind. A recent study by Sheraton Hotels and Coca-Cola shows 81% of business travelers would consider bringing loved ones with them when traveling for work so they could have time together[1]. More than four in five business travelers look for unique ways to show their loved ones they’re thinking about them when traveling for work[2].  With these insights in mind, the global hospitality brand partnered with Coca-Cola to enable guests to send a special “Message on a Bottle” to those on the road and at home.

During the upcoming holiday season, the “Message on a Bottle” program allows friends and family to send warm well wishes from home to their jet setting loved one, as well as for busy travelers to send messages home to their families – one Coca-Cola bottle at a time. Starting November 9 through November 17, associates at select Sheraton properties across the U.S. will help guests send a special message on an iconic Coca-Cola 8 oz. glass bottle by simply visiting their hotel Concierge. The message can be a thoughtful note such as “Mom, I miss you” or something as simple as the recipient’s nickname, within 18-characters. Sheraton and Coca-Cola will then have the bottle personalized and delivered to the guest’s loved one at home.

Consumers can also send their own “Message on a Bottle” to travelers staying at a Sheraton property this holiday season by visiting cokestore.com/sheraton. The personalized bottle will be placed in the guest’s room to make them feel more connected to home while they are away.

To kick off the program, Sheraton and Coca-Cola have already surprised a frequent business traveler at a Sheraton property with a personalized Coca-Cola bottle. The traveler’s story was captured on camera, and the video is unveiled today on Sheraton’s YouTube channel.
