Overlooking the ocean at the base of a mountain blanketed by tropical rainforest, Sanya Marriott Hotel Dadonghai Bay combines modern luxury and easy access to pristine natural beauty. The master design concept conceived by US-based architecture studio AECOM and vibrant interiors by renowned design specialists HBA, drew inspiration from the natural surroundings, and are designed to provide guests with optimal views of the splendid sunsets and sunrises over Dadonghai Bay.

With more than 1,747 sqm of functional meeting space including a pillar-less Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 880 people, plus an outdoor terrace and an expansive seafront lawn, this will be an ideal venue for conferences, meetings and other memorable events. Marriott International and TripAdvisor China Enhance Local Travel Experience for Chinese Travelers via WeChat

Guatemala City Adds a New Courtyard by Marriott Hotel

Guatemala City, Guatemala – November 19, 2014: Marriott International announced today plans to open the first Courtyard by Marriott brand hotel in the bustling Guatemala City. The hotel project was signed with Grupo Azur, a family owned company that invests in real estate, hospitality and restaurants.   

The 147-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel, scheduled to open in 2016, will be located in the middle of Guatemala City’s Zona 10, also known as Zona Viva, an area known for leisure and business travel.

Marriott International Wins CHTA Innovation Award 2014 for Mobility Leadership

CHTA presents the award to Martin BookallilBeijing, China, October 30, 2014 – Marriott International is named by China Hospitality Technology Alliance (CHTA) as a winner of CHTA Innovation Award 2014 for its pioneering performance in applying mobility technologies in hospitality industry.

CHTA is a non-profit making organization formed by experienced hotel IT and managerial professionals that aims at promoting technological development of the hospitality industry in China. Its first ever CHTA Innovation Award 2014 is to recognize hotels or hotel groups that have superb performance in using advanced technologies to enhance guest experience, optimize hotel operations and increase revenue stream. The selection of winners of this Award are based on the results of a customer poll and the evaluation of a panel of professional judges.

Marriott Rewards members receive a push notification on their Apple iPhones or Android devices after 4 pm on the day before their arrival alerting them they can check-in. Then they receive an automatic notification when their room is ready. Because payment information is stored within members profiles, guests simply walk up to the expedited mobile check-in desk where their pre-programmed key card will be waiting for them. At the end of their stays, guests receive a push notification alerting them that mobile checkout is available. Upon completion, guests will then be prompted to provide an email address where their bill should be sent, allowing them to confidently bypass the front desk.
