About Miles & Smiles
The Miles&Smiles Frequent Flyer Programme was launched in 1989 to build passenger loyalty to Turkish Airlines. Today, the program has a rapidly growing membership base of 4.5 million members from around the world. Members can earn miles by flying with Turkish Airlines and Star Alliance member airlines. They can also earn miles by using their Miles&Smiles co-branded credit cards as well as by taking advantage of services offered by nearly 80 programme partners including hotels and car rental companies. The Miles&Smiles programme is based on a customer-oriented philosophy thoroughly internalised by every employee of Turkish Airlines, from airport personnel and aircraft crew members to those employed at our call centre and sales offices.
We not only offer exclusive privileges to our frequent flyer members on board; but we also, depending on the tier level of Miles&Smiles membership our members carry, provide other benefits at the airports, such as CIP lounges, priority check-in, free upgrades, extra baggage allowance and many other advantages. Our four cards Classic, Classic Plus, Elite and Elite Plus provide our members with varied benefits. Qualifying for any of these cards depends on the miles earned on Turkish Airlines and Star Alliance member airlines during the last 12 months.
