Marriott International Comes Out on Top With Highest Number of Award-Winning Hotels Within U.S. News & World Report's Best Hotels of 2017

U.S. News & World Report, a nationally recognized publisher of consumer advice and information, awarded 141 Marriott International properties with Gold and Silver badges in its seventh annual Best Hotels evaluation of hotels that offer high-quality amenities and exceptional guest experiences. This marks the highest number of accolades awarded to a hotel company in 2017. Marriott International’s collection of brands celebrated in this year’s report include: The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W Hotels, EDITION, JW Marriott, and The Luxury Collection, which form the company’s Luxury portfolio; Westin, Le Méridien, Renaissance Hotels, Autograph Collection Hotels and Tribute Portfolio within its Premium Distinctive portfolio; alongside Sheraton and Marriott Hotels within its Classic Premium portfolio.

U.S. News evaluated more than 3,000 properties across the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada, awarding the top 10 percent with Gold Badges and the top 30 percent with Silver Badges. The methodology behind the annual accolades combines the hotel’s industry awards with both expert and guest sentiment, as well as hotel class ratings.
