Courtyard by Marriott Debuts in Perth, Bringing Thoughtful Design to Perth’s Urban Corridor

The 150-room purpose-built hotel in Perth’s urban growth corridor will serve as the premium centrepiece of the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct

Courtyard by Marriott®, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 30 extraordinary hotel brands, today celebrated the opening of Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch, marking the brand’s entry in Western Australia. Developed in partnership with leading Western Australian property developer Hesperia, the hotel is located in Murdoch, Perth’s fastest-growing urban catchment and features an all-day contemporary dining venue, Substance Restaurant & Bar, as well as flexible spaces for meetings and a 24-hour fitness centre.

Located approximately 10 minutes from Perth’s Central Business District and 25 minutes from Perth International Airport, the hotel will attract a broad range of business and leisure travellers as well as those visiting the nearby Fiona Stanley and St John of God, Murdoch hospitals and Murdoch University.

Rooms designed with guests in mind
Whether working or indulging in well-deserved downtime, the 150 rooms ranging from 28 sqm to 56 sqm, are designed to best support the needs of every guest. The carefully curated mix of room types cleverly designed to maximise space and natural light feature plush bedding, flexible workspaces, floor-to-ceiling windows and complimentary wi-fi, allowing for a premium hotel stay.

Meetings that inspire guests
The modern meetings and conference facilities at Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch combine innovative technology with style and comfort, including an open lobby providing flexible space to work or relax.

The Dampiera Library is a bespoke space geared to cater to small corporate groups and conferences, featuring a modern pre-function area, a meeting room with floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a balcony, and can accommodate up to 40 guests in a cocktail setup.

Contemporary dining
The hotel’s artisanal cafe and Asian bistro, Substance Restaurant and Bar, will offer guests a variety of options across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Led by Head Chef Mochsin Fam with a health-centric focus, the restaurant features biophilic design principles and seats up to 76 diners. The Asian-inspired menu will feature a selection of seasonal, local dishes along with classic cocktails and a range of beverages. In addition, Substance will offer an elevated grab-and-go section catering to the mixed-use commercial and residential clientele located in the precinct.

Reservations for Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch are now open for stays starting April 1, 2024, with a special lead-in rate from $169 per room per night (subject to availability). The hotel is also offering a Murdoch Minibreak Package that includes breakfast for two guests daily at Substance Restaurant and Bar, self-parking, a bottle of wine on arrival and late checkout starting from $229+ per room per night (subject to availability).
